Trond joined Pearl as Chairman of the Board in the spring of 2017. At that time, Pearl was a small Norwegian company with large ambitions for growth. With Trond as part of Pearl, a new strategy was developed, and more importantly, a foundation was laid for the professionalization of the roles of owners, the board, and employees in a company where many held all three roles.
Over the past 7.5 years, Pearl has evolved into a large Northern European company with nearly 500 employees, and Trond has played a central role, first as Chairman and then as CEO, in realizing the strategy and growth, and most importantly, in building a solid organization. Trond has requested to step down, and with great gratitude, we have agreed that he will conclude his work at Pearl. At the same time, we are pleased to ensure the continuation of Trond's work by appointing Carl Östholm as the new CEO. Carl Östholm comes from the role of Managing Director for the business unit ERP at Pearl, and he has also previously held the position as Managing Director of Pearl's operations in Sweden.
