In the last few months, we have been lucky enough to have four new, talented people join our team. Let's get to know Antons, Andreas, Erik, and Stephan a little better!
Pearl Group keeps growing and is constantly looking for skilled people. CEO Geir Thoresen is really happy with these recent additions to the team.
"We know that there's a high demand for talented IT employees, and we're pleased to see that we're an attractive workplace that still manages to attract the best people. Antons, Andreas, Erik, and Stephan are all four very skilled in their fields, and I am sure they will be a valuable resource in the company", says Thoresen.
Antons Dolgopolovs
Antons is Pearl Group Latvia's latest SAP Commerce junior consultant. He has a bachelor's degree in engineering in car transport and is now completing his final year in a master's degree in computer science. Antons has a solid engineering background, with experience from the haulage sector as a data analyst/fleet operations manager and from the printing industry as a software developer.
Antons' spare time is primarily devoted to sports, including mountaineering – in which he also has a bachelor's degree – and rock and ice climbing. He is also interested in triathlon and hopes to meet more running or cycling enthusiasts among his new colleagues.
"I'm really looking forward to working in Pearl Group and to meeting all my new colleagues as soon as the restrictions are lifted!"
Andreas Landmark
Andreas has started at Pearl Group Norway as a senior consultant on the Commerce team. He has nine years of experience in e-commerce and digital marketing, in sports retail and building material distribution. According to Andreas, there are equal amounts of space in his heart for both nitty-gritty technical details and big-picture strategic business development.
What time is left between work and being the father of a two-year-old and a four-year-old, Andreas spends running, skiing, cycling – or, if he is really lucky, reading a book or fly fishing for trout.
"This is my first consulting role, and I'm very excited and very much looking forward to getting to know the company and the people. It's important for me to constantly develop myself personally. For that, you need to have a strong professional environment where you're being challenged and where you can work with interesting customers and projects. I get all that at Pearl!"
Erik Hagen Nymoen
Erik is also a new addition to Norway's Commerce team, where he has started as Commerce Business Advisor. He is a trained computer engineer and has experience in e-commerce and digital development, where he has worked with testing new functionality, upgrading existing systems, and anchoring digital solutions.
In private, Erik is concerned with animal welfare, the environment, and health issues, and three years ago, he switched to a plant-based diet.
"This is my first consulting position, so I am very excited to get started in my new role. I got a great impression of Pearl in talks with my new team leader, and it was clear that Pearl is a forward-thinking company when it comes to development and digitization."
Stephan Mertesdorf
Stephan is Pearl Group Norway's new Delivery Manager. He has a master's degree in economics and has previously worked extensively in marketing, sales, and purchasing. Eventually, he began working independently on IT projects and was involved when Boots pharmacy implemented SAP S/4HANA in collaboration with Pearl Group.
According to Stephan, this project made him want to work at Pearl Group because he was impressed by how Pearl carried out the implementation and the collaboration between the consultants and the customer.
"I like that we work in a professional environment with skilled people from different disciplines and that we collaborate across national borders at Pearl's offices in Oslo, Riga, Kyiv, and Singapore to deliver solutions that improve our customers' workdays."
