After work: Fredrik Strømmen Jensen

Meet Fredrik Strømmen Jensen! He is a Junior Consultant at Pearl Group Norway's Insight team, and he appreciates hard work.

Position and country/branch:

I'm a Junior Consultant on Pearl Group Norway's Insight team, in addition to doing sales work in connection with RFI/RFP processes. I work with data warehousing, reporting solutions, and analysis.

Where are you born/raised, and where do you live now:

I grew up in Trondheim. Today, I live in Oslo, and like many others in their 20s, I'm looking to buy an apartment.

My workday:

The tasks are varied. We can work with specific customers over time and become a more integral part of their team. In those cases, it's typically analyzing and reporting I've worked on. We help companies with how they should use the data they have today and how they can structure and present it for a better business understanding and insight.

I also work with reported issues that must be dealt with immediately, such as data that doesn't go where it's supposed to, or that doesn't look like it should. This is extremely varied and can be anything from data that doesn't lead to someone having written "fifty" instead of "50".

What's unique in my position is the opportunity to participate in sales cases and their processes. Here, presentations on solutions and implementation methods are at the center. I find the variation in these tasks very motivating, as it offers the possibility to understand what potential customers must have and what is nice to have. Finding a balance between these two is very interesting. I often ask my colleagues with more experience what has been done in the past and learn from that.
