At the office, Emilie is thrilled by an intelligent robot that makes her twice as efficient. When she is off work for leisure and holidays, literature, nature experiences, and socializing with friends are on top of her agenda.
Position and country/branch:
Junior consultant in the finance team in Pearl Norway.
Where do you come from, and where do you live now:
I grew up in Oslo and still live here, in an apartment in Frogner with a friend.
My workday:
My workdays are varied, but at the moment, I've been working for a customer where the tasks have consisted of a lot of configuration in SAP and various support cases. For example, I have run a lot of company codes through an RPA (Robotic Process Automation) robot, which means that I didn't have to enter anything manually – the robot read the info from an Excel sheet and filled in everything for the company code setup in SAP for me. It allows me to do other tasks while the robot runs the setup. I have to say that was pretty cool!
My moments of everyday happiness:
There are so many that it's difficult to choose only one thing. But if I have to choose something, it's when I find a perfect book series. Nothing is better than not being able to put down a book because it is so good! I must also mention spending time in nature as everyday happiness – preferably in a rowing boat or on a ski trip. Sitting in a boat or putting on your skis and putting your mobile and your thoughts away is beautiful.

Favorite item:
Again, it's hard to pick just one thing. But the first thing I thought of was a glass I won during a rowing competition in Newcastle while I was studying in Edinburgh. It's hideous – but it reminds me of one of the best years I had in Scotland. We had trained for a long time for this competition and had a lot of fun along the way. The day we competed was awful because we sat in the boat for over an hour in sleet and two degrees. But we won! It was a lot of fun – and afterward, this glass has followed me all these years in Scotland and now in the new apartment in Oslo. Lots of great memories!
After work:
I try to exercise at SATS – and I prefer group lessons. But now that it's summer and better weather is coming, I also like to go for rowing sessions on the water. Otherwise, I try to do a few social things with friends, too – preferably a good dinner or a beer or two (or three!) out on the town.
