Position and country/department:
I work as a senior consultant in the finance team at Pearl Norway and have been here since 2007. During this period, I have been involved in a number of implementation and upgrade projects and have greatly appreciated Pearl's ability to deliver new versions of SAP early. This has given me a lot of learning opportunities.
Where are you from, and where do you live now:
I grew up in Valdres, the heart of Norway, and I am lucky enough to have my own cabin at "stølen heime", a place i travel to as often as I can on weekends or holidays. For the past 22 years, I have lived at Bærums verk, that is both close to the fields and only a short distance from work and the city
My working day:
It is very varied, which I like a lot, and there is always something new to learn in SAP. The periods of projects are often hectic, but at the same time very rewarding. I like being able to work in a team and meet satisfied customers/users.
It is perhaps a little more unusual to feel "happy" if you solve challenges that feels complicated, but I do.
Qualities I appreciate in others:
Greatly appreciates positive and solution-oriented people, who also dare to stand up if it "falls a bit”. People you can talk to openly and honestly. From day one in Pearl, there has always been a lot of laughter and humour, which I really appreciate.
Everyday happiness for me:
Everyday happiness for me is going on a ski trip, mountain hike or forest trip with Happy (Irish Setter), or with friends. I also like to keep busy in the garden or with various small projects outside (or inside).
Friday evenings are also highly valued, and if Vetle (My son who is in the military) is home, I have a great time.
After work:
After work, it is usually a walk with my dog which is the first priority, then dinner, before any other activities such as regular Wednesday training with football and “Innebandy" together with some other girls in the local area (it has a high priority). The afternoons and evenings are always a bit hectic, and I appreciate the time I get on the couch at the end of the day, especially now in the autumn.
